We've got a children's museum about 70 minutes north. High quality. Anthill with many, very small, multilevel crawl tunnels, giant bubble making factory, rat petting, animal dress ups, etc., etc. Ellen and James finished off with face painting, which as you can see, is a do-it-yourself activity.

Ellen has started to draw. We were in a rush to go somewhere which, Ellen later explained, was why 'Hubby' only had one leg. Yes, Ellen also noted the striking similarity between Daddy's head and a balloon filled with hot air.

January Jaunt

Video from our last trip to Fresno before our adventure in Minnesota.  Keep your eye out for Ellen's new hairdo, Papa's kill count, and how the theme of jaunt is related to James.  (3 minutes)

Adventure to Cancun (etc.) Sponsored by Nana

We snuck away in November for a mid-Intern year escape. Nana came to watch Ellen and James while we went to play. It was all we could have wished for and we didn't die (ask us later about learning how to drive a scooter for the first time in a foreign country--sometimes parked cars are hard to avoid at 4 miles an hour; also, watch out for funny sidewalks or you might find yourself inadvertently catching air). Jayne captured the overall feeling well when she exclaimed, "Who do we think we are!?" For those interested, we made a little movie of the fun. The scuba experience (not reflected in the video) unreal; the rest of the big activities are captured in one way or another.
